Helping others has been a passion of mine from a very young age.  I obtained my first bachelor's degree in psychology from Longwood University.  During my last semester there, I realized I wanted to be a nurse.  I started my nursing career in 2014, working on a medical-surgical unit and have since gotten experience in the emergency department and inpatient psychiatry.  I graduated from George Mason University in 2021 with my doctorate in nursing practice (DNP).

Mental health is my heart and soul.  I love helping anyone and everyone, but maternal mental health is my niche.  When my son was born a micro-preemie and endured a long NICU stay, I recognized the immense need for maternal mental health services and was shocked that there were none available.  My DNP project aimed to bridge this gap and bring mental health services to NICU parents.

Like a lioness, I am strong, protective, and fierce.  As a provider, I want to make you feel heard, seen, safe, and empowered.

I live in Culpeper with my husband, three beautiful kids, and two dogs.  I'm obsessed with true crime and adult paint-by-numbers.  I love CrossFit (shout out to my Code Name fam!), gluten free food, and listening to 90's music.  I want to be a Disney princess when I grow up.

I am excited to continue my passion for healthcare in the field of mental health. I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and received my MSN from James Madison University. I also have completed my psychiatric mental health training from Bluefield University.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Longwood University and spent most of my career as an RN working in various emergency departments. As a nurse practitioner my experience includes primary care, geriatrics, neurology, hospice and palliative care.

During my time in the emergency department it became evident that the need for quality outpatient treatment options for mental health was a huge need. I have a special interest in mood disorders, trauma, substance abuse and maternal mental health in the outpatient setting.

I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values shared decision making and evidenced-based practice. My goal is to empower my patients to take charge of their mental health through supportive education in a stigma free environment.

I live in the Richmond area with my husband and two dogs, and we are expecting our first baby in early 2025. In my free time I enjoy camping (in a camper of course), spending time with friends and family, and cooking! My all time favorite season and holiday is Christmas, and I decorate every year on November 1st!
